...but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus"
Philippians 3:13-14

Testimony of Robert Happoldt - Heaven's Saints M/M

"THE DAY JESUS CAME TO PRISON”  They called me Roger Rabbit and I was a drug addict and a main player in the meth trade in Coffee county Alabama. I had always lived for what I wanted to do, drugs, money, hate, the things that Satan tells you are the way to go.

I am married and my wife lived through Hell for about 12 years. I feared no one; I was a biker with a big gun and a lot of dope. I was above man's laws and God's laws, and who was Jesus anyway? He didn't live in my county or my life. Satan was my leader and I his brother; he had me at his beck and call. Until he lead me to a life behind the fence.

Prison, yes in July of 2000 my drug business came to an end with the help of the 12th Judicial Drug Task Force, busting me on drug trafficking charges. My leader, Satan left me holding the bag. Where was he when they were carting me off to the county jail? $50,000 bond to get back to the streets. Satan had taught both my wife and me a trick or two all the years we ran with him and with a lie or two I was free on a small bond and the race was on. How much dope could I make, sell and do before I went to prison? Satan was back telling me to go for it.

But it wasn't long before I was back in jail and remained there until I was transported to an Alabama State Prison. But before I left the county jail for my 10-year sentence in prison Preachers came to the jail and tried to tell me about Jesus Christ and how He could set my soul free. I would have nothing to do with this Jesus. Then one night this Preacher came to my cell and said to me "God is tired of knocking on the door for you and you not answering Him." You could say it scared the Hell out of me!

Shortly after that I was in a filthy prison and I had been reading my Bible and thinking about all the bad I had done in my life and the people I had hurt and the families I had destroyed with the drugs I sold. I knew I could never be forgiven until one night God's words told me (2 Cor. 5:17) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come. To me that meant that all the bad would be gone and I would have a fresh start in life. That night in a dirty prison, I got down on my knees and ask Christ to come into my heart and to forgive me of my sins. What a wonderful peace came over me. I was free, yes I was locked up in prison, but for the first time in my life my soul was free.

I still had to do 3 years on a 10-year sentence but that would give me the time I needed to get to know my new King! I did and He loved me and He taught me how to love and live! I was released in Oct. of 2004 and am now a member of Heaven's Saints Motorcycle Ministry. I go to the very jail I was once in and tell the inmates there of the Power of Jesus. He has blessed me in so many ways, a wonderful wife of 15 years, great friends and a new life, and he will do it for you if you let Him. He will show you such love, grace and mercy, no matter what you have done in the past.

Remember I said they called me Roger Rabbit, well my real name is Robert Happoldt, and Roger Rabbit died the day I ask Christ into my heart. God made me a new creation.
